Umm... people not buying L$... no, that wouldn't work... Dead cat bounce, but it's more like live cat bungee...
Hmmm... Oh, I know... it's inflation but the people keep buying instead of selling... no... that wouldn't work either... Hey RBD... you wanna tell us? |

Ok so there is 1.5 million 300 to 301. What happens next? If it goes 299 there is hardly anything else left on the Lindex. I'm assuming that sooner or later we'll see some seller's put up some bigger orders and that a lot of them are holding back until what they see is a good price.

I'm assuming that sooner or later we'll see some seller's put up some bigger orders and that a lot of them are holding back until what they see is a good price. At the current time we are about $30,000 ahead of 2 weeks ago in new USD entering the game so you would expect the exchange rate to be where it is based the amount of money it would take to drive it to this point. However all that new money is being spent and now in the hands of content providers and land developers who have tier to pay but certainly have more money on average than they did two weeks ago. The real question is how long are those people are willing to hold that money. If they sell exactly what they did last Sunday the exchange will continue to fall, if they decide to cash out the rate will rise again and possibily as fast as it did when the limit buy orders were first instituted. What happens tonight will be very interesting to see just how the sellers react to the new rate, I expect the exchange rate to be below L$ 300/1 and possibily as low as L$ 290/1 buy the time traditional selling starts. Hang on folks it could be a wild ride today remember Jamie has yet to be heard from. |

It will go that far too if it breaks 300. |

Jamie? Who's Jamie. LOL I agree. If it does hit 290, we'll eventually start to see a lot of selling tonight. It will go that far too if it breaks 300. Based on what actually happened yesterday (we reduced the float by $10,000) the rate should be L$294/1 by 9 PM and it appears some currency traders are expecting that. I would be very nimble today if I were actively trading and I'm not because I have exceeded my goal for the week and am a coward. The time between Sunday night and midday Tuesday should see a reaction upward in the exchange rate, how high is anybodies guess and right now it is all guessing by everybody, it all depends on how much risk you are willing to take. Good luck if you are actively trading and if all you are doing is selling content I say hang on we could see L$280/1 by the end of July. |

What just happened on th LindeX?
07-03-2006 02:01
Lets examine what just happened in the last week on the LindeX to see if it makes any sense. The best week we had in total volume on the LindeX prior to this week was the week ending 6/18/06 with $263,548. The week that just ended saw a total volume of $303,848 that is a difference of $40,000, wow. I looked at the present exchange rate and then the amount of USD needed to bring the rate there from 6/25/06 data. I needed $30,000 more L$ bought during the week than sold on the Lindex. Where is all that money? It simply is in the hands of people who didn't sell it on the LindeX for a variety of reasons. Ok what does that mean for the week ahead? I tracked LindeX float I think it is called for weeks all the way down to L$280/1, and today decided that I needed to lower that bottom number to L$250/1. The float to L$280/1 on 6/25/06 was $39,456. The float to L$250/1 on 7/2/06 was $23,805 so if we have another week like last week and take out another $30,000 from the LindeX float I don't know how low it could go because my data only goes to L$250/1 but the rate will fall below that.
Jon Rolland could just be the biggest winner out there next week with his millions sitting at L$240/1, good luck Jon. |

Yep. Time to SELL! Why? With only 8.2M L$ between our current rate and 240 there's still lots of room for improvement for the rate. A net gain of 400K L$ available volume is also very little. As stipends now come on a US holiday this should further lower the impact of the "sell sell sell"-rage some people, including you, try to achieve. |

There are MILLIONS more Linden in game now than there were just last week and not even because of the stipends, but rather because all the idle sell orders were bought. Wayyy overdone. Sell now or lose your shirt! |

? 240+ volume is L$14,036,903 , doubled? why is the current sell pressure? Sorry if I caused confusion: above 240 means 241 and more. ATM (7:28 am) this volume is at L$ 10,239,855. The difference of approximately 2 millions is in the range of usual overnight increases in open sell orders. |
