So when Philip says that the transactions average $80 US per person per day (was that what he said? needs checking) it masks the fact that a few huge land deals and club sales, etc. passing between the top 2 percent oligarchs, when averaged out, looks good.
The median, rather than the mean, should be used both in Philip's remarks and in this sort of poll. The median is much less susceptible to outliers than the mean. The mode is also useful. Simply tossing out the outliers is not a good way to improve the quality of the answer.
Assuming you have any confidence in the data, which I don't, as the forums are not a representative sample of the SL world population as far as I can tell, and a poll like this, involving self-selection and a controversial topic, will most likely draw an even more skewed selection.

). They came from a game where the object was to buy money (I mean I was in the game for 10 minutes before it was trying to sell me therebucks) and then spend it as fast as you can. God I loved the Thereians. Now there are so many more builders and fewer consumers that competition is stiff.
