Anshe Chung has bought XXX - the club now in Raiden.

Is this a move into club ownership for Anshe?

My guess is that Anshe has worked out that people buy stuff when they have a reason to be at the location - I certainly sell lots at clubs.

Just sharing news.

Anshe must be diversifying now that she faces more competition at the auctions and inworld, and it makes sense, and she is well positioned to do it. Each part of the business will amplify another part. She can get brand recognition to sell land from her club, she can put in the same vendors at the club that she already has as customers at her malls, it's a win-win. She can even make dwell. She'll be able to eat the start-up costs that every other club owner suffers with.

Anshe: one tip. Get Owen Khan to make you up a customized dance machine with all the dances pre-loaded otherwise you risk hours of head-aches trying to fix them yourself LOL.

Anshe:

tip 2: Please remove the TOS-violating ads (sex for sale in event listings, for one) that XXX has been spamming since opening.

tip 3: Please remove the dildo picture in the land's pic, that somehow has avoided being removed by the Lindens.

Perhaps new management can make that club a bit more classy.

XXX has always been one very popular place many people love. It has one really fantastic team of event hosts, dancers, escorts and security who have been providing countless hours of fun to many people in Second Life. It is places like XXX that make Second Life grow, that keep people engaged and happy in this exciting world. I believe much too little credit has been given to those who bring happiness hour by hour by hour to so many people.

This is why I decided invest into XXX. It is one investment into people I have great respect for and into one community that brings together residents, including the newbie who can quickly find help and friendship.

My primary role will be to provide stability, sound financial management and opportunity to XXX. The managment of club operations will be done by management team around Dakota and Kitty. Tis a pity we don't pay so much attention to people who provide original and creative content. SL really is like RL in some ways. Yes, I'm already bored with the Anshe-Watch. But not the issues involved.

" XXX , Classy? its a triple X club hun, meaning sex, adult content, where have u ever seen classy "XXX" it isnt a gentlemans club. if it were, then i could see "classy" . i dunno maybe its just me, but the club is fine how it is, it serves its purpose being X rated for a reason. dont get me wrong im not sayin the club is distasteful. i love it, im jus saying if its a mature themed adult club, with escorts and basically near every event is sex related, why ever would it need to class up. it does great as is. Come on, what credit? You should know better than this. It's a business. Should we thank XXX for being exactly like a dozen or so other clubs? If you feel they are not getting credit give them a raise.

XXX wouldn't be XXX if it was classy. It got high traffic because that's exactly what it *wasn't*.

From my experience people generally prefer non-classy events - from someone who has tried to run both.

It looks like there is a change of management as well as ownership. As someone who gets some of her best sales at XXX I obviously hope that business continues to be good. If it doesn't, then, like most vendors I will go somewhere else.

I'm about all AnsheChung'd out. Nothing personal to Ms. Chung, but I am kind of tired of seeing her name and CentreVille all over SL. The game needs some new blood in the powerplayer category!

The word *classy* IMHO is one of those words that sort of cancels themselves out. By using it to describe something that is tasteful, simply reveals ones class status as either low class or nouveau riche.

Just an observation, and hopefully, stirring up a batch of whupass!

I have a place in Second Life today because of Anshe,when nobody else would help me out Anshe did,I'd never even spoken to her and with one IM she bought a sim for us,lent us money on trust and gave us a start. She never asked for anything in return,no 'interest' on her loan,no involvement in our project,nothing.

Thats a lot more than I can say for a lot of people in this game.

Who gives a rats ass whether or not anyone has spoken to her? Is she going to say something revealing in IM like, "Pssst, I bought XXX for the land." I admire her for the fact that she is working hard at developing her business but the PR and marketing is getting to be a little much. And when you throw in testimonials from people like you, it just makes it that much more corny.

Personally, I wish she would go the super-villan route and threaten to destroy the SL world or bring it to it's economic knees. Take your pick, Dr. Evil, Hank Scorpio, Pussy Galore.
