I tend to explore the map for land for sale when I'm bored.
Tonight, I noticed when zoomed all the way out that there was a cluster of for sale icons on what appeared to be an island a ways South of the main land.
On closer inspection (zooming in), it ended up being a multi-sim large island with a bunch of First Land plots on one or two of the sims and most of the rest marked for auction.
Should be interesting to see how it develops as it looks rather complete already, though much smaller than the mainland and otherland.

Hmm, does anyone have a picture? A while ago there were a few sims "down under", which seemed to be the new German community thing they were talking about at the time. I have a screenshot of them somewhere.

I meant a picture of the map, but I found that it's visible on the website map. That doesn't look like the sims I visited. The ones I somehow managed to access last summer were some kind of valley with rivers.

Last night, while zooming around the map, i accidentally discovered this new continent, which looked different from privates islands, due to its location (very far south east of mainland) and size (32 contiguous sims, at last count). Ever curious, I raised a small crew of Land Investors i found online (my gf Anna, our friend Katie, and myself), and took our Mythic Airship for a ride on this unexplored country. Upon first teleport arrival, I was dismayed. The sim i landed in had No Create Object turned on, which thwarted my plans for rezzing an Airship or planting a flag in the New World. At this point, i had not seen any green dots on the map, so i assumed the land was uninhabited. The map was wrong. I flew around the continent, hoping to find a sim which allowed Create Object, and after a minute (using enhanced flight), i found one! I quickly rezzed an Airship for my happy crew and tp'd them in, before i even realized... i saw a lost object poking out of the sandy beach. Thus far i had only seen rolling green hills and trees and beachfront land, but not a prim in sight, no avatar made object. Then i saw more structures, as i turned around from the beach, and to my shock, i saw 3 other avatars, having a conversation, in front of their home. The natives were friendly, fortunately. We had a friendly talk, and also from what a Mentor said in IM, this appeared to be a colony of new residents in a Mentor/Welcome program. We took a leisurely tour around the new land, most of it pristine and beautiful. With the mystery solved, the country discovered, first contact made, we returned to our own homes too, tired but happy. From the Journals of Dennis Albion

Hmmm, all of the sims have Korean names. This must be the Korean area. I guess that means the German area can't be far behind?

Actually, I count 32 sims in total making up this new continent thus far.

Well, it was only a matter of time. There is already a club, a mini-mall and, of course an impeach bush sign.
