lets be honest prim/object hoods and cape have their limits they are stiff dont waver in the wind ike other clothes do and depends on how ur AV is moving it is poking in and out of ur body

so..

I suggest adding a clothing item for Cape/Cloaks and Hoods or even hooded cape/cloak
that wud be created thru appearances just like a shirt or jacket, skirt etc this wud give us the chance to make much more realistic caped and hooded AVs

as i have heard we didn't have skirts until they were requested so why not request these?

who agrees with this addition?

Well, like a lot of features in SL, the skirt was added and promised to be "just the beginning" and more things were to come... but never did. :p LL is too busy with other things, like changing the UI for no reason, to be adding stuff the people want. ;)

I put 10 votes on this already, but i would appreciate a skirt that works (hint: double the polygon count) before we get a cloak.

:)

I'm fine if Prop 199 ends up improving the skirt in the process. In fact, one way of handling all these things would be to create multiple "skirts" that you can set parameters on at different heights on your av. Combine an armpit-level "skirt" with a short "jacket," and presto! A flowing coat! (Though I would also like to have looser sleeves as an option.) This also gets you veils, cloaks, petticoats, capes, caftans, saris, robes, long hair, etc. It would be a major upgrade to the appearance of clothing in SL, allowing for much more variety and "ethnic" designs.

Prop 199 is doing pretty well -- it's got 195 votes and has made it into the top 25 proposals out of over 400, but it could still use more support, as it hasn't been "Approved" yet, despite the fact that the guy who coded the capes for "City of Heroes" is now employed by LL. C'mon folks, scrape up a few votes! :)

With all the interest in new ethnic and international items, maybe it would be a good idea to revisit Prop 199, so we can have better hanboks, kimono with decent sleeves, and... uh... something drapey that the German customers would like...

Anyway, if you haven't yet, vote for Prop 199!
