This would greatly help where CHAT is used for admin type commands. At the moment you have to type everything out each time. So I'm asking for something similar to Unix/Windows command windows where you can hit "up arrow" and the previous command you entered pops up for you to edit. Hit it again and the 2nd last one comes up etc. Very simple, but it would save heaps of typing.

Up would move most people's avs (for those with "move av with chat open" turned on like I do). I suggest ctrl+up. And then have ctrl+down go to the previous message (i.e. ctrl+up * 2 and a ctrl+down would be hte most recent), and then maybe ctrl+left/right move the cursor though the text.

Thought it may be useful to highight the following, I've asked for a means of retrieving CHAT history via the proposal mechanism - if you support this/would like this please vote in the voting area. Link to the (a) new features forum and (b) proposal area for voting is below: forum threadvote for it

Sounds like a good idea. BTW forum cross posting is taboo. From: Forum Guildlines Post in appropriate places, for appropriate reasons – The forums are split into separate topics. Please do not post discussions into forums that are clearly designed for other discussions.

PS LL - This would of course require some additional editing support within the chat line (i.e. want to 1st recall a previous command BUT then 2nd have some additional editing capabilities within the command line to then edit it) - e.g. control-arrow across words, select words etc
