It's been 8 months now and I've developed reputation on being an aviator on SL. What bugs me though is that I keep getting requests to either become a member of an exclusive aviation group or become an officer for a critital group in the community. However with the current group limit of 15 I find that difficult. What I'm suggesting is for the limit to be increased to maybe 20 groups instead of 15. I know there can be drawbacks to this but having the decision to leave an important, active, group on which I'm an officer in is difficult. 10 out of my 15 groups I am an officer.

interesting it was about this time last year that they increased the group limit from 10 -> 15. Now it's 15->20.

Perhaps it's an order of magnitude problem?

That is, the increase needs to have been from 10 to 100.

Maybe we can have some sort of "group tier" whereby for every 5 more groups you can belong to, you have to pay 100L/week. That way nobody abuses the groups system.

The current messaging architecture for group membership will not support more than 15. Future releases will allow you to belong to an arbitrary number of groups.
