Bullshit, 15 groups is utter shit. I mean ffs, we had 10 group slots, now we have friggen 15. THATS A WHOLE 5 NEW SLOTS! WOW! Great job LL, you just disappointed me  Oh, and before anyone takes me seriously, that was a joke so I could complain before someone else would.

wiggle, i drop those groups too. i can't work, or even talk with someone while ims are flooding through a window.
some people can though. some of those groups spam incessently because that's what they do. jarod can maintain seventeen chat windows, eat, talk on the phone, post to a forum and rewrite an online quiz editor all at once without missing a beat. i can do that for about five minutes before my brain shuts down.
oh yes there is a point here. many types of groups exist in sl. it's one thing that, despite the lack of features, hasn't been pigeonholed into a single purpose. as stated, some groups are purely social in nature and have constantly running chat sessions. others exist to support building projects, instructional facilities, land managment, event hosting,
you don't have to belong to any groups; but it is nice to feel part of something larger than yourself. it's especially nice when those somethings are accomplishing something like building neverland or supporting the learning center. group invites will pop up rather often. take your time and join groups with people and purposes that mesh with your own goals.
p.s. ryen i like the low group limit. it keeps me from overextending myself. ll should leave it as is because khamon tends to take on more responsibility than he can handle. if they don't take care of me, who will. it's their job as the governmental body of the grid to...wait...nm

The current messaging architecture for group membership will not support more than 15. Future releases will allow you to belong to an arbitrary number of groups.
