Im not sure if anyone already requested this idea but it would be great if Second Life implemented an animation editor in which we can create our animations in world. It would help many people out a lot being that many people can not use poser or have trouble importing .bvh files into Second Life correctly. If they (Linden Labs) implemented an animation system similar to Poser that allowed you to drag avatar limbs into position at different frames and compile the animations (like scripts compile), it would make custom animations ALOT easier. I understand that there is a downside to this as well. The few AVs in Second Life that make a living creating custom animations will see a huge decrease in income from thier animations since it will have become easier for everyone to create their own.

It's been requested before, and as with before, my $0.02 is "it's a nice idea, but not something for LL to devote resources to." Since this stuff can be done externally at a fairly low pricepoint, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Counterpoint to that, it would be nice for LL to make the animation system a bit closer to the imported BVH. There are still a few nagging bugs.

If I can write a working BVH importer in LSL, you can bet they can improve on the existing one with backend resources. :D
