How about a web based user interface to SL to allow those at work, or on a slow computer to communicate with friends in SL, manage inventory, check events, etc. No graphics, just “text” based stuff. Anyone have any other ideas?

This would be most useful. Some of us, even while at RL work - don't ever completely 'unplug' from SL.
 I'd love to be able to access my inventory from work, and on the spur of the moment, open up a script from my inventory and do a little work on it over lunch. (Ok, really, my entire afternoon. But the boss doesn't need to know that)  Travis |

Setup VNC at home, poke a hole in your firewall, loginto VNC from a web browser using the VNC Java client, run SL, done!
