Please ONLY answer yes or no.

Keep related comments in the related thread.

This is for the Lindens.

Please be honest.

The questions:

1) Do you want voice chat?

2) Would you leave SL because of the implementation of Voice chat?

Make your own poll! :P

PS: Its not as much trouble as you think. And there is always someone waiting for somone else to finish before they can move on with their current project thus having spare time to implment such a thing.

Please stick to the questions I provided. Keep comments (or comments cleaverly disguised as additional questions) in the other related thread.

Are you hosting a server, Lyra? You all suggest TeamSpeak, yet, no one is hosting a server that I know of. Besides, I don't want to talk to anyone in the world, just those who are right in front of me!

1) No.
2) No, unless it made lag intolerable.

Wouldn't use it if it were available, and I would prefer that the Lindens devoted their resources to other priorities. I would not be truly upset about it unless it increased lag (which it might not, if it were hosted on an entirely different server).

James, did I read your answers correctly, that (1) you want the feature, but (3) you wouldn't use it?

1) Yes, if it was used in limited settings (like chat group support only)
2) No - no one feature being added would cause me to leave a game, that is just silly

2)Don't know, depends on implementation. I think hearing people's voices would completely detract from the fantasy aspects of the game.

Yes, that's correct. I want it, yet I probably wouldn't use it. I'm very shy, I doubt I'd talk much, however, I like hearing people speak rather than reading text. Much easier to understand the kind of mood they're in. The main reason I'm pushing for this is for the users of There who are social, not creative. Right now, There is much better in the social field than SL, and that's something that Linden Lab needs to fix. Voice chat is one good way to do so.

While voice chat would be interesting and I'm sure would add some benefit to the SL experience, I'd be more in favor of investing the development time in stabilizing the economy and resolving lag issues.

1) no, Currently, I would prefer they spend their time fixing the lag when typing, nothing is more infuriating than waiting for text to catch up.
2) no.

Uh... Im afraid that's gona be on your end, I've never experianced it. First I've heard of it actualy (unless its just a latancy issue in general since that is a symptom of lag or a system running slowly)
