....what does "LOD 3" mean?

It means "Level Of Detail". It's apparently a constant that's set in the Second Life Clients.. both the main one and First Look. It limits the amount of detail we can see with the sculpties even if they have higher amounts of detail embedded in them when uploaded.

If anyone else can explain this further, please do.

I know what "LOD" is, I just did't understand what the value has to do with it.

If people want an easier program to use to create sculpted prims than Blender, please download the "Moment of Inspiration" (MoI) application from here: http://moi3d.com/

I haven't a chance to look at this program. Does this have a converter to BMP. I know that Omei made a plug in for wings and I have been using it very successfully. I have made a cube by using 16/15.

He also made spheres with triangulation.

Sculpted Prims, I like the term and use it. But some are insisting on using sculpties.
