SLDrama.com Official Launch

Well, the main discussion forums are now gone. Out with the old, and in wth the Fun!

As of September 8th 2006, Second Life Drama is fully open. Created by Foolish Frost, it consists of a news center, personal blogs, community forums, group chat, long term file storage and entertainment center.

All registration is handled by In-World kiosks that are listed on the front page of SLDrama.com. This list has easy links to allow you to Teleport directly to a kiosk of your choice and register. Registering takes only clicking on a kiosk and choosing 'register' from the menu. Everything is automatic. Resetting your SLDrama user password is also handed through these kiosks. Passwords are passed by IM directly to your avatar.

The news center keeps track of major events in SL, and accepts confirmed 3rd party news reports. Anyone wanting to report news to SLDrama.com should contact Foolish Frost by way of the SLDrama's Personal Message system.

Every user has the option to create his own blog, and can access it under their profile. More features will be added to this if it find itself used enough to make it worthwhile.

The forums are open to all, and will be minimally moderated. The moderation that will be in place will involve dealing in things illegal or harmful. Hate speech will be dealt with harshly. Other instances will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Chat is made available by a web based chat system that allows real-time communication, even when SL is down. This function is provided by a Flash based chat software that is access through the users web browsers.

The community file center allows residents to host files for pubic use. Anyone wanting to host files should contact Foolish Frost by way of the SLDrama's Personal Message system.

Entertainment is provided by the classic adventure game Legend of the Green Dragon. Linked to your SLDrama user name, you can create a new character and play toward gathering treasure, earning your own home, and eventually slaying the green dragon itself. Additional features such as resident marrages and custom quests are also available.

Finally, SLDrama.com is home of 'The Unofficial Complete Fool's Guide to SecondLife', a beginners guide that take the reader on a humor-filled and educational romp through Second Life! Registration is NOT required to download this book. The guide can be found in the download section.
