From: Frans Charming How can it be comeing from 8-10 different users if Ben owns it? you must mean he created it. And it's easy to get full perm objects from lindens just look in the Library. Let me rephrase that, Ben was the "Creator" and 8-10 usernames were the owners, at least from the objects I managed to investigate before the logout. I managed to find an option to show all scripted objects as red starts (a bit like landmarks) and found all these alpha-transparency objects littering the landscape and self-replicating.

It's sad what people do to get some attention --- but I guess that is because they didn't get it at home right? Why don't they use their talents to script a game or something? Oh wait, that means you have to be creative and that's probably something they can't handle.

I have a request
10-02-2006 20:02
Stop using the word "Temporarily" in terms of the game being down, when what you really mean is:
We don't know how long it will be so probably best you -
1. Go to bed and sleep for 8 hours 2. Clean out your closets 3. Read that book you've been wanting to 4. Go to college and earn a degree
...Oh, you meant a music request....ummm

So much for planning a community meeting a month in advance. It wouldn't bother me so much if I wasn't sick, and would rather be sleeping than keeping an eye on the grid status page :/ *Goes to play her N64*

i have a question about this attack....as everyone knows, we were offered objects, hundreds and hundreds of objects.....i was muting them as fast as my lil mouse would let me, but did manage to see names on some of them ( most were really long numbers, no names ) one of the names i happened to catch was a friend of mine.....i know damn well she would NEVER do anything like this, and have no way to talk to her until i can find her in game... any ideas how her name ended up on those object offers.. not just her name, but all of them that showed names instead of numbers?

I would assume the object was given to her and she became owner and then it replicated itself somehow and automatically gave itself to others. I would be pretty sure she did not intentionally do that. Some boared script kiddy with no life.

From: Ed Baron did anybody elses email get flooded? I updated the blog with some snappys of that. www.edbaron.blogspot.com -out Ed, A similar mail flood happened to me. No surprise, as my option "I would like to receive offline IMs via Email" is set ON. You may want to check your settings at https://secondlife.com/account/email.php Personally this mail flood didn't cause a big trouble to me, since deleting hundred of messages with the same subject is quite fast and simple.

UGH! Yes this is a late entry - but while being so frustrated last night, I decided not to post anything until I had cooled off a tad. This "attack" situation is getting or is completely out of hand. Last night the "attack" hit - so I decide to log into the Beta Grid, where I had noticed that many others had decided to do the same. As I am flying around, sure as snot, I get hit with the "object o' Doom" - I took a screen shot, and started muting the object. Funniest thing is I got hit right over Dore - Orientation Stuidios, SL Tutorials. I contacted live help with all the information and I was instructed that the info had been "passed along". Still today I do not see any posts of anyone else who was hit anywhere but on the MG and was wondering if anyone else was hit in Beta as well? I have to say that I agree with going back to verified accounts. I do not recollect these types of "grid attacks" happening this often before free accounts were opened. In fact, I dont remember but maybe 2 grid attacks the whole entire first year I played SL. I believe that if any "free account" holders really enjoy SL now, they will pay the small $10 fee to keep playing SL. Dont like credit cards? Use pay pal with a bank account, or use your Debit card which is given to you by your bank that can be used as any major credit card, LL does take this type of verification. If you enjoy it, and want to be here, you will find a way to play, just like everyone else did prior to the free account opening. Here's a link to the screen shot I took, it's pretty much the same as all the other pics - just it is in the BG. Thanks for listening to my rant. http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l115/Xaria_C/AttackinDoreBeta.jpg
