Does anyone know where I can find a giant heat resistant drill, and some weapons grade plutonium? Thanks.

It's for a science project.

Oh, and as a note, the drill has to be able to resist the heat of.. for example... the earth's core.

What about using the Sun? Its heat resistant, and it'll burn through most things if you put it close enough.

As far as Plutonium, it's just a bunch of protons and neutrons, which are all around you.

Well, yes, Azelda, but I (nor does anyone else) do not have the apparatus to rearrange subatomic particles at will..

Ummmm.... just an FYI.....

First of all... on earth there's really no such thing as NON-weapons grade plutonium. (Plutonium isn't part of the natrual decay chain for uranium on earth. ALL plutionium we have is created in a breeder reactor, and as such is weapons grade by definition.)

Second of all.... while Plutonium, as an alpha particle emitter, isn't all THAT dangerous to handle as such.... it's horribly toxic and very dangerous both from its toxicity and the radiation it emits if you ingest it.

Drilling is going to produce dust. This dust will be either inhaled or swallowed. At this point, Homeland Security probably won't bother coming after you, since you'll be dead by the time they could find you anyway. (About three days after ingestion in most cases. Radiation poisoning isn't exactly pleasant. In fact it's one of the most unpleasant ways to die that there is. The radiation breaks down the enzymes your body needs to function, and you just start to shut down. One system at a time. Over the course of about three days.)

My understanding is, the international community has managed to misplace a number of canisters of plutonium over the years.

Have you tried dumpster-diving behind the mall?

By the way, really offtopic, but.... did anyone else notice (or have an explanation of) what the paradox of the universe starting as a fairly homogeneous proton/neutron, going through this really complex stage of humans, worlds etc, and finally going back to being a homogeneous universe once entropy Heat Death has set in?

I mean, why not skip the whole humans, intelligent life bit and just go from proton/neutron soup straight to Heat Death? What am I missing here?

The United States government will sell you some plutonium for cheap. In fact, they are having a "Future Dictators Christmas Day Special". Oil rich country Dictators are not eligible for this offer.

The universe has a rather extensive will. When it dies I get Alpha Centauri.

People are composed of protons, neutrons and electrons. I'm not sure the universe really cares that some protons, neutrons and electrons are arranged in a manner that briefly causes them to call themselves 'intelligent life'.

What the heck kind of subject is "Hey"?????

I mean, at least give us a CLUE what is in here. Otherwise people will click and start reading, and may have their time wasted reading a thread that they aren't really interested in! Or, even worse, they may be offended by the nature of whatever is inside the thread. Especially if it has ANYTHING to do with monkeys and the word "monkey" is not in the subject of the thread. That would just be RUDE! How many times have YOU clicked on a thread thinking "OH WOW WHAT A KEWL SUBJECT THIS IS" only to discover that the thread is, in actuality, a complex dissertation documenting the growing popularity of using twenty percent more cream cheese on a (toasted) bagel, Sunday through Wednesday? TOO MANY I WOULD IMAGINE! Now that we are in concordance, I think we can deduce that obfuscation of commentary and confabulation is not in the best interests of participants within this colloquium.

By the way:

THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME!

Inclusion of complex stage including humans and other forms of intelligent life is intended for entertainment purposes only, and not meant for use in high powered universal machinery, or any coffee makers. Please do not insert the intelligent life into any orifices while in use.

I think someone needs a lil nap :P

But anyways I find Plutonium rather overated -- I prefer what powers all my SL WMD's : Unobtanium...

I've managed to scrape a lil from Philip Lindens underwear during town hall meetings.

But a little is all you need -- it's VERY potent!

Siggy.

Do you mean: even if intelligent life actually WANTS that?

Doh :(
