This was suggested on another thread - seeing how ratings are changing.. why not just zero the counter? wipe everyone with a clean slate so we can all start again under the new system..
I think it would ROCK! all those with unwanted negs -- here's your time to get it taken care of!

Or at least put people's ratings to some (consistent) fraction of their current values - that way people don't completely lose out on their ratings bonuses; and we don't lose out on seeing who the worst negatively-rated trouble-makers are.

One thing that amuses me about some comments people have posted about the $25 to rate... "only the rich will be able to rate now, and hence reap all the rewards." They forget that all the people who've been here a long time have all already rated each other _____________________

 It's going to have ot be all or nothing. Those with seriously negative behaviour will have no problems irritating enough people with 25L to burn to recreate the positive/negative ratio they had previously. |

Well, there is a totally different system in the queue, from what read over in the Feature Feedback forum. I'd be one happy kitty if the current rating system would just be dropped, as it's bound to be abused. Up until now it was abused as a stipend bonus thing, and just showed how long someone is in SL and hwo many people got into his or her range. Now a lot of rating is a sign of how rich someone is to pay people to rate him/her. The rating system _has_ to die.

It does seem only fair to reset the ratings, to align everyone, new players and old. Everyone in-world now has hundreds of 'cheap ratings', compared to what new incoming people are gonna get.
Hmmm... maybe they could divide all our existing ratings by 25? _____________________
