no-Sushi.

This is bad, because I have so much love for the Japanese culture and language!

I do try to make up for the omission by making sure I drink plenty of Sapporos when we go to Japanese restaurants.

Yay for Sapporos. Do you have sake too? Is it the fact that it's raw that deters you from eating it or do you just not care for seafood? Just curious. :o

Yeah, Sake too :)

I am just not too much into seafood (or vegetables). If we go to seafood restaurants, I always ask for fish that will not taste too 'fishy'. About the only seafood I like is shrimp.

Ana-kyu-maki (eel and cuke roll) is the best sushi I have eaten....though the hamachi (younger yellowfin) is pretty good as well (if very fresh) but much harder to get stateside as fishmongers ususally do not know the age of the fish and I can't tell untill I have already eaten it. I love the texture of octopus or Nama-Tako but only cooked (raw or live it is just to squishy).

Ohh and Tito you are right you should never force children...but you should make it a game. If children take part in the food preperation (or if you make outings to ethnic resteraunts very special) children are more likely to eat different sorts of foods. Saying eat your peas when all you do is open a can is much different than saying look you helped me shell these peas and cook them now lets eat the fruits of our labor. And in resteraunts if you get them dressed up for a very special meal they will be far more excited...let them fumble with chopsticks to eat that eel roll. They will have fun and become accustomed to different flavors and textures.

Then you might want to try the Ebi. It's cooked shrimp and rice. No veggies, just a dab or wasabi. :)

*paging Jadey Lily meow meow nyaa!*

I don't know all the names of the sushi stuff but I like sushi in general... those sushi bars... all you can eat... I like the cheese in the oysters and the weird meat they... uh... well does that even count as sushi? They serve it along with that. I like California Rolls -- but geez, what a funny name. (I kinda imagine the whole state getting up and performing 360-degree revolutions)

It all tastes like that sweet spot between a woman's legs, so it really doesn't matter, does it?

Sushi Q.

No. Sushi and the Banshees! (Damn it! I just saw Neehai's reference, oh well, I will leave it because I did and do love them).

In all seriousness, I can't eat it. I have gotten sick off of it twice. It must be me, because they were reputable places and the others with me didn't get ill. I just stick to shrimp and fish.

Oh, and don't eat crab at Dead Lobster. Talk about being ill for the next 5 or 6 hours! :(

Is it the crab or the drawn butter that looks and tastes like yellow dyed oil...don't know which but it has the same effect on me and it has the fishiest odor.
