Hm, let me see. I've met Philip, Ben, Haney and Char from being at Town Halls.

Bub once dropped in on Bingo.

Lee and Jeff have also dropped in on a couple of events.

Rheya's helped me by returning a couple of rogue objects protruding into my property.

I met Jill at the Welcome Area on her first night when she was practising being a liaison.

Haney once asked to speak to me!

I met Char when she gave me my mentor title - she tp'ed to a busy, laggy Chaos Theory event to do so! (She didn't win any free money, though)

Colin often puts in an appearance at trivia.

Does that help? :)

Wow!
In comparisson I suddenly feel very small....
;)

Sure call me out when I'm on vacation!

Hi, I'm Jeska Linden! I'm not in world as much as I'd like to be and I work in Community for Linden Lab. Any questions will be read and possibly answered, depending on their contextual value. :D

D'oh! This was s'posed to be formatted so the "very small" part appears as a tiny typeface (get it? The "very small" part is in fact small) ... but I'm looking at this on a different computer and here it appears big and bold. So much for mock modesty. Maybe I'll change it to "I suddenly feel very silly" :o

Hi Jeska!

What are your hopes for the SL community that you would like to see happen that you don't see now?

Huggerz,
MJ :)

Your 'very small' appeared very small in Safari v1.2.4 - maybe you're using some non-standards compliant browser? :)

It showed up as the same size as all other text here, but that's because I've got my browser set to use a minimum typeface of 12-point.

Yay! Great to meet you Jeska. Hope you had a wonderful vacation! :D

When you do get to be in world, are you one of the liasons? I have never been exactly sure how it is decided which Lindens will be liasons. Sometimes I wish it was easier to locate the list of "actual liasons" for when I'm trying to help new people out. And if you aren't a liason in world, do you get to go to parties ever? ;)

Huggerz,

Hmm... that's a good question. One thing I'd love to see for the forum community in particular is to have more of the outright kindness I've seen in-world translated into the forums. I've seen people bend over backwards to help each other in-world to create this amazing virtual space which transcends boundaries or explanation. I'd love to see more of this on the forums. I'd also like to see it get easier to find people who share your interests in world (like it is with friendster or livejournal).

Pendari -

The liaisons are a very specific group of people, not a title shared by all Lindens. They are:

Jeff Linden
Char Linden
Jill Linden
Rheya Linden
Lee Linden
Nova Linden

Occasionally liaisons will take different jobs at LL, so you might see them around but now they aren't liaisons. Currently, that would be Michael Linden who moved from being a liaison into support.

Thank you so much for your response Jeska. I couldn't agree with you more. Although I have seen a few forum posters help others out alot, but it seems lately there is alot more hate post than there are helpful post.

I'm not aware of friendster or livejournal (although I have heard of it on techtv), but that is a great idea and I hope that it is in SL's future.

Huggerz,
MJ :)

I think Robin cleared up the Liason question, but I do get to play in world now and again, although I do have to admit, I haven't been to any parties as of yet! :)

Hell, "resemble that remark"?! I PERSONIFY that remark.

Speaking of 'mark'. That picture of me on the pole has been wholly and entirely Photoshopped!!! I don't EVER remember dancing on a pole....

...Well at least not while wearing anything.
