Nature is mostly selfish, but altruism is a form of natural behaviour employed by those animals who live in some kind of social grouping. In most species there exists a balance between selfishness and selflessness. To survive and perpetuate the species we must keep ourselves alive long enough to reproduce. A newer “trick” has also evolved wherein individuals can consciously work together to increase the overall chances of survival of the species. With humans, and even a lot of the other mammals, there must be a balance here. We will often place our lives in harms way to protect an offspring or even something that is meaningful to us like turf, or a human ideal like freedom. Five minutes later the same animals (humans included) could easily be seen viciously fighting for a scrap of food, or a mate. Both behaviors are beneficial to us, and their needs to be a balance for species like these to survive. |

This wasn't a riddle? Ok.  I'll give it to you straight then. The only thing that can change you is YOU. It's you that decides what you are ultimately. It's you that lets yourself be influenced or not by the whole gamut of other things, such as social relationships, biological predispositions, upbringing, religion, etc. What can change the nature of a man? These are mostly minor issues, the game doesnt crash or anything, but sometimes there are missing dialogue options, or duplicate ones.
I advise you to put all of your skill points into Wisdom, Intelligence and Charisma since for big dumb barbarians, half the dialogue options are unavailable.
Personally I would just use a savegame editor and put all my stats at 25 There are more patches? Cool! I'll have to check them out again.
