I logged in today......tp'ed to a party area, and as soon as I landed.....was hit by a full on nude pic of a player....well.....guess the rest.....sent to me and entitled "this is by way of revenge.....etc". I'm not a prude....I don't know what the arguement is about. I'm not going to name the player as it isn't fair without knowing what it all relates to. My problem is, ....did anyone ELSE receive it?...... ie, it could easily offend.

Hmm, if I had to get spammed, a nude pic would be the way to go. But seriously, if you're taking revenge on someone like this, do you think this makes you look good/respectable, or make you any better than whatever he/she/it did to deserve the revenge? Think, people, before you act.

There is an underlying current to this act which I think a lot of people are missing, and it has nothing to do with the picture.
It's basically an issue of the fragility of avatar sensoring and llGiveInventory.
Hopefully Linden Labs is heads up on this or otherwise they are pretty soon going to have a completely crazy event on their hands.

Oh, my yes, I got this.
I was waiting to see how long it would take for a "Tribute to (the player in the photograph)" thread started, and get deleted.
Heh, maybe it's already happened.

I got this too, on logging in. No way to know who gave it to me, though. The creator of the image is the same as the person purportedly in the photo.

The red wings are just a harbinger of much worse things unless llGiveInventory is controlled. I won't go into too much detail except to say .. wake up folks.

Red Angel Wings, eh? Some sort of virus? Snow crash? Heh heh.
But really, I've been gone. Would someone fill me in on this peril?

From: Camille Serpentine ah, I think I got the picture too. From Tanaquil Karuna. O.o Uhm, I don't think Tanaquil would send out a nude pic. She's one of the greatest, kindest people I've ever known.. not to mention I've known her for over 2 years. She sent out a Holiday Card with a cute kitty on it. o.o

Just a note, in case you aren't already aware of this, this object probably has virus like properties which will initiate another user to send it around simply by attaching it.
So the only crime that was performed was whoever gave it to you was simply wearing the wrong object that someone gave them.

The wings themselves distribute the picture. So, if you wear them and fly around or just leave them rezzed somewhere, you will be throwing that pic in the face of anyone that is near enough. I heard these wings are more nefarious than meets the eye, but Im not really sure. I think they are hard to take off once you have them attached, thats just a guess though. If you are offered these Red Angel Wings, decline the offer.

If you ever offered any inventory you are not expecting, you should decline the offer. Also be very careful about rezzing objects, attachments or otherwise, you do not trust.

The problem with images is that they just pop up on your screen - you don't have to accept to see them first.

Some poor newb innocently attached these wings in the club the other night. Made the coke I was drinking come out of my nose. So very wrong but so damn funny.
