5. Forest sim (No build, all Linden owned, just to go and play games)
4. Free terraform sim (No 45 degree rule)
3. Complete ocean sim (All water)
2. Otherworldy sim (e.g. Martian terrain)

1. Space sim! (Although this is probobly impossible)

What's yours everyone?

I like all of yours!! :)

The space one would be possible, but i think, you'd have to teleport to it instead of it being attached to the rest of our world :) Which would make sense anyhow. For example you could have a space port on 'mainland', and it would teleport you to the main space port in the space sim :)

I hate to spoil your fun but I think we have far too many themed sims as it is and too little land to settle.
It's not like servers are free, you know.
I would much rather have a new, fully settleable, mature-rated sim next to da boom since we are Unbearably Crowded down here.
The Lindens should give ppl temporary tax breaks or something for moving out of crowded areas and into the newer sims.

Yes, I would like a sim next to DaBoom too please. But I was thinking it would be good to settle in a space sim too... :D

Actually the reason I thought it was impossible was because it would always be set in a night mode, making it indipendent from the regular SL day/night system. Also there would be no terrain in it, and a sim kinda is terrain, so that may be a problem.

And that is a good point you make about having to teleport into it, too.

Day/night doesn't matter, you can already override that from the debug menu (as far as your client is concerned). Good thing too, I hate trying to build at night.

I also agree about putting a new m-sim next to Da Boom, it's getting kind of ridiculous.

Good news: New mature sims are going to float out of the ocean at the far north of the grid, adjacent to Mocha and Olive. Good thing, too. I don't know about you guys but every now and then I like to cuss like a sailor. :)

Darwin has some good ideas. I would also like to see a totally underwater habitat sim, with tunnels and pods, though a mermaid AV would be a lot of fun!

Well I thought this thread was going to be about names of sims... so... hmmm

I'd like to see a sim that looked like the Garden of Eden (trees & plants part of the terrain -- not modifiable or deletable)

and I'd like its name to be Shebangrila

Bet a lot of you can guess what mine is lol. My orientalist romance themed palace complex (think Arabian Nights meets the Rubaiyat) which I've posted about and discussed my ideas with a lot of you.

(note: While it may look like nothing is happening at the project site, if you could peek into my inventory, you would be able to see the prototypes I've built for the major signature design elements. Hopefully soon I will be able to start bringing them out of safekeeping and sharing them, as the Arabian Palace is built.)

Thanks,
Candie

Put a sim in the northern reaches, raise it up all high like Olive. Require that people build primeval villages, abandoned ruins, and a sinister monastery, complete with labyrinths and a pit leading down to nameless abysses.

Call it Leng.

L$50 goes to the first person who can tell me what that's from. :)

How about an upside down sim? Where the land is the top of the sim.

We would float in space beneath in and build buildings and objects that hang from it.

Well Darwin, we've got two of those in the works. =) Kumori is gonna be a giant forest, I dunno if it will be set to no build tho. And Fairchaing island is almost all ocean. :D

Ok, shameless plug aside, I really like Candie's Arabian Nights idea. But I'd like to see LL put up some ocean sims as well.

Sound-travels-unusually-far Sim. Everything said or even whispered is broadcast simwide to everyone. In fact, so are all IM's and even thoughts.

Lag Free Sim. All avatars are stripped of all attachments and clothing on entering, and turned into a half meter plywood cube. The ground would be completely flat, with no features, no trees and definitely no building allowed. at all.

Totally-Invisible-City sim. Based upon the amount of fun to be had teleporting into a sim and trying to fly for the five minutes before it's rezzed, think of the fun to be had here? It'd be kind of like a game. Just try to make it from one side to the other.

Get thee to Rodeo, where Salazar Jack has cultivated an almost untouched forest sim. :)

I'd like to see a sim made up of dozens of little odd-size parcels, each with its own unique theme of build.

Some of these parcels would be half-finished and seemingly abandoned; others would be constantly revamped so that you never see the same builds from day to day.

There of course would need to be several stores, each selling much the same merchandise, causing the owners to snipe at each other.

Providing clusters of vending machines and other script-intensive builds would satisfy everyone's lag requirements when combined with the ever-present "look-at-me!" particle effects...

Lastly, there would need to be a liberal sprinkling of useless rotating prims floating high in the air, and a constant inflow of abandoned prims from the "who-cares" one-time users.

Shoot, I'm getting all misty-eyed already...

Noob sim covered with spinning signs that turn too quickly to be read...

I am waiting to receive my island sim on which I plan to create a complete fantasy build filled with waterfalls, caves and interesting surprises. There wont be one casino, spinning sign or shopping mall!
