"I didn't want to get blood on your floor."

Edit:

15 minutes and no one got it yet, so heres a hint, this quote is from the same movie:

"..they must really feed each other to the lions down there, cause..."

:)

"Maaanniiii!"

And, by the way, I think we have all been caught viewing a bad movie from time to time.

_Run Lola Run_ is the source of "Maanni!" and the football quote.

No one seems to have even recognized that the line I offered ("'Lo Tom. What's the rumpus?";) was a movie quote.

How about a longer one, from the same movie: "Don't smart me. I wanna watch you squirm. I wanna see you sweat a little. And when you smart me, it ruins it."

Oh that's high-larious, for my first quote I was going to go with "der tache!" "der tache." "der tache" but I thought it was too mean and obscure.

Okay, this is not a quote but someone asked me months ago and it's still bugging me - what movie is it that has a woman cutting puzzle pieces to make them fit together?

It's The Cincinnati Kid. I'd like to claim magical movie powers, but it turns out that I was reading this metafilter thread the otherday:

Hey, I think we need a quote:
"I think we're going to have to go on being secretly in love with one another"

EDIT: "oops, sorry Jake. Read then post. I always screw that up"

Yes, I realise I am posting with answering the previous one, but I didn't know it.. my innocence holds no shame *wince*. In the mean time, here's another one.

Jake, your quote is from Miller's Crossing....

"One day the kids from the neighborhood carried my mother's groceries all the way home. You know why? It was outta respect."

Goodfellas :)

here's mine:

"I came here tonight and I didn't know what to expect. I've seen a lot of people hate me and I didn't know what to feel about that so I guess I didn't like you much then either. During this fight I've seen a lot of changing. The way yous felt abot me and the way I felt about you. In here there were two guys killing each other, but I guess that's better than 20 million. What I'm trying to say is that if I can change and you can change, everybody can change."

(cheers followed by cheesy 80's music)

-Rocky IV (well, i remembered that is was Rocky and that is was the one with Dolph Lugdren, but i wasn't sure it was Part IV, so i double-checked that through Google.. but i DID know it was Rocky and which one and that it's Stallone speaking from the ring.. after the fight.)

and so, warm your brains, because here's my quote:

"She can sing, or she can scream! But she still pissed me off!"

..i'll be surprised if anyone guesses this without looking it up!

:D

Round 2!

You think Mighty Mouse could beat up Superman?

What are you cracked?

Why not?! I saw the other day he was carrying five elephants in one hand.

Boy you don't know nothing. Mighty Mouse is a cartoon. Superman is a real guy. No way a cartoon could beat up a real guy.

Yeah, maybe you're right. Would be a good fight, 'though.

Damn, the only pie eating contest I can recall was in 'Stand By Me', but the quote feels more recent then that.
