In my adult ballet class at the American Ballet Theater back when I was young and single, there was this old guy, really, really old. What a game old guy.

Nobody ever talked to each other at that class, but one day I went up to this guy after class and recited, fearlessly, without preface of any kind, Lewis Carroll:

"You are old, father William," the young man said, And your hair has become very white. And yet you incessantly stand on your head -- Do you think, at your age, it is right?"

hahahaha

Well, this charmed him, and he asked me to go to the museum with him. In something besides tights, he was a very dapper stockbroker, 84 years old, and quite wealthy.

I continued to "date" him, until it became clear in a somewhat oblique way he thought we might have a physical relationship. I had in mind a platonic friendship. I pretty much managed to make that clear in a sort of oblique way, and he never asked me out again.
