lindens labs needs a better way to respond to whats going on this is crazy

my wife is happily playing second life on her PC as i type this

i on the other hand cant log in linden labs posted about 40 Min's ago that they have temp blocked logins

but this sux its been down all day and night for us in Europe its totally not fair and i know people are playing as my wife is in there now so open the thing back up

Actually I was in earlier. I was all happy and having fun. Then I pushed my luck. I relogged so I could turn shiny objects on. KISS OF DEATH! I can't get in now

Well as I realize that whining doesn't help, however, we're all paying customers, regardless how they run their business, an all day downtime situation is unacceptable to any business, regardless how they run it. Especially if its meant to stay open.

Im just curious as to why many are logged in and yet many cant log is? Im not techie person (hell Im luckly I can even log into sl) ok ok so that was a lil far fetched but, Im stupid someone please explain why 1/2 of my friends are playing and here I am fighting the SL withdrawls, as I try to type with sweaty palms and the shakes...Second Life Addicts Annoyomous anyone? lol Was just curious,

As noted in Cory's update the login server is backed up. Please remember when you are logging in to wait if it stalls. Do not quit and restart as this causes further backup. It is best to wait until the current attempt times out before retrying.

Here here. That's the point. People talk about "whining about the system being down, get a life." Hey, for many people, Second Life IS their life... and they pay through the nose for it. A system that's down an entire day has some 'splainin' to do... and needs to take steps that it doesn't happen again.

I know this. But its just bot the europe people being jerkoff with the lack of thought to offline times. Sl REALLY has to factor in the WHOLE popuation of sl people before pulling down the game! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Bottleneck? What are we talking, a couple or three thousand? Shoot, that's tiddly winks. If they had MILLIONS of users, then maybe I could understand. But if you ever look at the rosters... there just aint that many relatively speaking. No, this appears to be poor server management... and needs to be corrected. Sorry, just telling it like it is.
