Thank you Phillip for clarifying these points, but again I must ask. Why didn’t you spell all of this out more clearly in the email? LL has a history of dumping these announcements before all the details are worked out. It tends to lead to confusion and panic.

I hope this is what the Lindens were thinking of... I kinda think that the option of buying your own sim is really cool! AN excellent idea. Think of the commercial possibilities!?!? In Active Worlds, company’s sometimes by a world to promote a product, such as the "13th floor" which advertised the movie. I don't know how successful it was, but I loved going there (shoot, I gotta go see if it's still there now  ) VR worlds are in their infancy, and there is so much incredible opportunity coming up! I think this move really puts Linden Labs in a great position to dramatically grow! Allowing people to access Second Life, as free users, should dramaticlly increases the “Audience” making commercial opportunities much more viable and desireable. I really am pleased with your change of direction. I was hoping something like this would happen, thanks Lindens!!!
