Since I was getting ready to go away I just took the easy way out and put the magic box into my inventory so nothing could be sold from the website.

Sigh it was grueling work listing ...Poor Neph ! I feel for you!

Wow Apothesus.....I cant believe after all the hard work that everyone put into this that you would rather kill the website rather than be an honorable person.

I was procrastinating before, I guess now I have a reason :)

Siggy.

total lack of inside information

I just wanted to note, for those who wonder if this issue is going to be resolved that it seems really unlikely. Apotheus started this thread, has made no refutation of the myriad assertions of poor conduct on his part, has changed the ToS on slexchange to claim it clearly a sole proprietorship and has censored forum postings on slexchange. These are not the manifest actions of someone who is attempting reconciliation.

So continue using slexchange or don't, I just wouldn't hold my breath waiting for amicable resolution of the lockout and site seizure.

Siobhan: That's not a bug. You cannot delete items from SLExchange, for accounting reasons. You have to make an item inactive, but because of the weird policies of SLEX, we can never "delete" our account or our items.

It's a bug. I was able to delete half the items using the provided 'delete' button. However, the other half was labeled 'this item cannot be deleted'.

Items cannot be deleted (merely deactivated) if they have been "sold" and have a selling history on SLExchange.... It's not a bug at all Sio- It was set up this way I would think !

Good. I suspected that was the case when I ran into the same thing.

I've spoken with my business partner and we agree that our product is best seen in world. We liked the web presence that SLX gave us, but the few sales generated, reported problems from clients that their sale errored on them, and now this mess between the owners/partners we have decided to delist our items at this time.

We both hope that a ressolution can be reached, but in the meantime we will pursue other avenues to market our homes.

Best regards,

I am posting this to bring my closure to this thread.

I have sold my 40% ownership interest in SLEx to Anshe Chung and to Apo. Silverman.

I no longer have any financial involvement, investment or interest in SLExchange.

Over the past 23 days I have received much support from many people - thank you! Special thanks to those of you who have worked with me behind the scenes - I really do appreciate your help, encouragement and trust.

On to the next venture!
