A Plea To ALL SLers

To all my fellow SLers,

I've made a grave error and I'm asking for your cooperation today.

Last week I made the mistake of trying to revert group land back into my own possession. I asked a Linden how to do this, was told how to and proceeded to do so. Unfortunately, it put me into a higher tier because some of my partner's land was also attached to it. I held off on buying it back, not knowing what the consequences would be for leaving it unpurchased.

I logged back in the next night to resolve it and lo and behold, it was now owned by the Linden! In a panic I IMed the Linden that had helped me the last time. She informed me that she personally could not do anything but send an e-mail to support and to billing and hopefully it would be resolved. I did as suggested and received an e-mail this morning from support stating that it was on the auction block and there was no way they could stop the land from being auctioned.

Now, this is not an attack on LL. I did not ask for preferential treatment. If they can't pull the land from auction, so be it. What I'm asking is that no one bid on this land. This land is dear to me, it's my home.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you will heed my plea and let me keep my land.

PLEASE DON'T BID ON THE LAND FOR SALE IN TEHAMA!

I've owned this land for over a year. I did not mean to release this land. I will pay the person that bid $16 US dollars for it by PayPal or whatever other means they want to be reimbursed.

The land in Tehama is not just about my ownership of it. There are several of us that consider it our community. We've held onto it and preserved it.

No one has bid $16 for the lot. That is the price that LL has 'started' the bidding at. So, still no takers.

Talen, that's very sweet of you. *HUGS* The 16 US is LLs opening bid so if no one bids on it, maybe they will then take it off auction once it's finished and return it to me. We'll see how the next two days play out.

if they are intent on auctioning it they will reauction it. I think this is poor judgement on the Lindens part and lately it seems the community has to take care of their own

And if he get's *cough* munged up, I'll take the consequences for the public outing of the perpertrator.

Trinity, I bid on it ...hopefully LL will see the error of their customer service ways...if not either way you get your land back.

hope ya get it for her Talen, and yes this is an example of how unfair the system is the other way around. Gamed by a land barron one way and....well nuff said on this you get the gist.

Trinity that sucks. I am sure you will get it back. Talen make sure that you do not get in a bidding war with someone else trying to help.

If for some reason you do loose you will have the benefit of knowing who it is that won. You could always approach them and explain the situation. It would take a pretty shitty person not to understand the situation.

Isn't the customer service from LL just GREAT!? Almost every day I get more reasons to pull all my money out of this shitty company and find something better to do with my time.

They are mostly well-meaning and hard-woorking and good people, but I have to agree at least in this case Aaron. It seems like an employee gave Trinity either bad advice or difficult to understand advice and because of that she now has to bid to hopefully maybe have the right to buy back her own land? And they won't do anything to help? Unless there is a big part of this story we're all not aware of, this seems like a pretty dark day for putting faith in LL.

Tina, You know me. I put all the facts out. Even if it makes me look like a dumba** for not understanding what the consequences would be if I didn't immediately approve the sale. Like I stated, I'm not pointing any fingers or finding fault or laying blame. I just want my home back.

I went into SL and spoke to Nova Linden, who is the only one in world at the moment. I asked if she would get someone in LL to look at these two threads about your land Trinity. She said she didn't think anything could be done about removing the land from auction. However, with any luck, someone there may come and see what is going on.
