I bought an iBook G4 14 months ago. If I'd known about SL then I would have sprung for a faster machine. This years models are faster. My iBooks speed and ram is slightly less then recommended by SL. I'm not recommending it for SL but it will run. However it lags uncomfortably in large groups or when lots of prims are first loading. That could also be made worse by the wireless connection, which I otherwise love to use. I haven't tried running it directly from the cable modem yet, which could run faster.
