From: Eggy Lippmann My college has computer labs with dozens of available computers... I can easily pretend to be 3 different people. Or get a couple of friends to help me. It's even easier if I hook up a few computers to a KVM switch that lets me use the same keyboard and monitor to access them. Even without colleges, there are such things as laptops and wifi links and stuff Overly complicated Eggy. It can be done from one PC and just alt-tab between instances. The forums have some older posts on how to do it. McW

From: Siobhan Taylor And where's the pie option? Siobhan, can I also have a slice of the "who cares" pie of the day? We can serve em up with a glass of "it really doesn't matter" hot cocoa. Perfect for a snowy day!

McW Dude, I dont know what kind of throbbing beast you have under the hood there, but my computer takes like at least 30 seconds to alt tab in and out of SL oO Time to buy some more RAM I suppose.

Well, I have to say, I don't think my systems is all that special. And yes Lance I run SL in window mode. If I turn off all the rendering goodies (local lighting, shiney, shadows, etc) and I drop the detail sliders, I can alt-tab between 2 or 3 SL clients relatively quickly. Granted, after about 20 - 30 minutes running that way, my texture cache goes haywire, and I have to either not care how things look, or relog, but it does work for a bit. PM me if you want details on my system, or how I set it up to work. McW
