Wow strife, I didn't even notice that, good catch. The bottom of that seems to be cut off on the experience page.
Think its two halves of the same continent? Theres a bit of lighter green at the top portion of that as well that looks a bit off. _____________________

Two overlayed maps... a big black hole.... this sounds like underground sims to me
edit: no, i just looked at it better and the "lower" part is just a scaled up version of the upper one, otherwise it's completely identical. _____________________

Eggy, i agree that my theory may be just a tad bit far-fetched, but my reasoning stems from the name of the ship.. the HMS Malamute. i ran with that and while the Malamute dog is highly adaptable to it's environment, the Malamute speaking tribe or tribes eventually settled in the Northeastern area of the Seward Peninsula, Alaska.
here comes the far-fetched part.. i've superimposed the Seward peninsula on top of the map sketch you posted. i had to adjust size and rotation of Seward to support my theory, but it's what i saw in my head when i first looked at it.. _____________________
