We are in the process of setting up Third Life Records, Second Life’s first record label, 100% dedicated to original & previously unreleased musical contents developed by resident artists. Third Life Records (TLR) is a non-profit project devoted to bringing our community exclusive quality contents made by SL residents. TLR will operate 100% online, using the internet as its sole distribution system. TLR will allow SL musical artists to showcase and sell their own work using an open source distribution platform (licensing terms and purchase price are determined by the artists using Creative Commons models, as a way to ensure they keep full control over their rights. In order to launch the label early 2005, we’re inviting you to send us your music for submission soonest. Please read the submissions guide avaiable on our website, r3cords.com carefully, as we will not answer submissions-related issues in the forums. For any further info, please contact us via our website - r3cords.comLet’s hear from you ! Boueg Bergman & Jamie Otis http://r3cords.com

OK, I have to ask being a RL musician, what's the experience of the people judging the submissions? I mean experience in A&R'ing. What criteria will you be using to rate the submissions?

missing the deadline
12-23-2004 21:46
Greetings. this is incredibly predictable. but i mean that in a good way.. a "everything will transpose over the net someday" type of way. it's very exciting and i wish to support the label any way i can. this includes being an artist on the label. ( go to: http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?songs=11895&T=2122 for a sampling of my music when i was under the name, "The Glyph".. i am now "Natu Visu" unfortunately i won't have anything ready within the next 23 hours, so it looks like i'll have to wait for round two. also, i haven't had a chance to look everything over, but i'll be sure to as soon as i can!!! afterthought: i may be able to throw something your way.. not sure, but i'd love to be part of the label's public launch.

Hi Cybin... Sounds exciting - please carefully read submissions guidelines on our website before you upload. If you can't make it by tonight's deadline, no sweat... we'll be resuming submissions early 2005. Vincent... any kind of music applies, as long as it's original and unreleased. Last-minute acid Xmas carols or experimental metaverse soundtracks still welcome We will be reviewing submissions over the coming weekend, and will announce Third Life Records' first releases soon.
