do i have to clear this up AGAIN? stone stepped on my foot while dancing and while i was hopping on one foot in pain i fell against the forums and knocked em over...so he knows its his fault and thats why hes apologizing....

And he started a stupid belligerent argument with me over nothing, refusing to admit that there were two ways to interpret a sentence. There *are* two ways to interpret the sentence. It might be that I'm wrong. If so, so what? That doesn't make him a superior being. It just makes me someone who questioned the received wisdom because I think there are more than 12 percent of the players who are landowners.

I think what's at the root of this dispute is that Stoneself doesn't like land-owning, at least land-owning by lots of other people -- how else could he be fastened on this so tightly? And it annoys him if this number is growing.

For that reason, he doesn't want to hear if it is larger becaues that would fly against his set of prejudices about this world.

I'm telling you all, the Contrary Pedagogue is someone's idea of a practical joke. My guess is some bored Feted Oldbie Pranksters share the account and even argue with its posts on the forums just for laughs. I think they based the character on Ignatius from "A Confederacy of Dunces."
