So, have any of the Brits around here seen the new episode of Doctor Who? If so, how was it? I can't get it in Canada and I'm dying to know. Is it good enough that I should break out the scarlet passport and move to Britain? Is it so bad that I should avoid it in perpetuity in order to keep my cherished childhood memories intact? Should the traitor Eccleston be drawn and quartered, or is a case of good riddance?
-Edited to say I vote for Anthony Stewart Head for the next Doctor. Who would you like to see in the role?

Doctor Who is one of those funny shows where you can tell who's faking the funk and pretending to be a fan when they refer to the Doctor in a completely eponymous fashion.  Since Eccleston has said that he will only be the Doc for this one ep, we may have a new Doctor really soon. I really like Anthony Stewart Head since his masterful portrayal of Giles on Buffy -- he exudes such dapper wit. _____________________

As a dyed in the wool Dr Who fan I was prepared to be disapointed because i'm not a fan of Billie Piper but it was really good
Still I am not impressed that they only got one seris (sp?) out of Eccleston. Don't they know the Dr can only regenerate 12 times? Gonna run out of regenerations at this rate LOL_____________________

My view from the first episode is that it wasn't bad, but there wasn't much to rave about. It's more a relief really. Projects like this usually turn out really bad. I'm fed up with Nathan Barleys raping my childhood memories.
As for not getting it in Canada, dare I mention that you might be able to download it using bit torrent. |
