I did not mention a group name, and I didnt even say a "themed area". I brought it up because that was an example of why a senate would not work. I didnt point the finger at all.

I'm sorry, I know you want to this die. But I have to say one thing: those of you were not involved in the conversation/situation that culminated in Taylor leaving DW don't really know what went down either, ok? I don't know Taylor's full side of the story or even Soren's full side. But I do know what *I* personally experienced and I have to say that unless you were there, unless you were privy to that specific conversation, it's really not something you can comment on. It's also not fair for *either* side of this discussion to throw around personal attacks. Anything I might have said that is taken as personal attack is not meant as one. However, I can state facts:

1. Fact -- Taylor was at one time a member of the group and left with the original leaders left. No the new leaders weren't voted on, but that was something she could have brought up with anyone at any time. No one bothered to *ask* for a vote and the decision was made to put the leadership in Eve's extremely capable hands. She does a bang up job and an extremely solid and clear headed leader. If anyone has any concerns about how DW is run at any time, all they have to do is speak to Eve about it. We recently had a group meeting, people were invited to speak about issues. They did. It's not like we're running a couple of sims based on tyrant tactics.

2. Fact -- Taylor was not part of the group when this came up. She was invited to join but refused because she was concerned that the group owned land and that would somehow impact her land allotment. She owned a plot that was about 96M, which can hold exactly 14 prims. She did not have a large build up. She had a picnic table and some picnic items. That's it. It was explained that the group owns no group held land that it would not imapct her allotment. She still didn't want to join. It's not like the group was going to tell her how to be or what to build (so long as it was in theme). The reason we ask people to join the group is so that we can keep easy contact with people and make decisions as a group. That's it. It's not a gestapo . . . .

3. Fact -- I don't know what went down personally between these two people. I know I encountered two very upset folks one evening and tried to calm the situation down and probably ended up making it worse. Taylor will no doubt tell you all about how I said, "well I think I calmed the savage beast" about her, outloud, to David. Yes, I said it. I didn't mean it as an insult so much as a description of her anger -- she was mad, soren was mad. It was madness everywhere. She took it as a personal insult and decided that I was a bad mean person -- but the only reason she even heard the comment was because she was hiding nearby, where we could not see her. I didn't know she was there. If I had known she was nearby I would have said something slightly different. I shouldn't have said it, it was taken totally in the wrong way. I apologize for saying anything at all. In fact, I apologize to those of you who are going to hate me for this no matter what I do for existing in the first place. Durn, I apologize for everything! (We happy now? Ok?) Go ahead and hate my guts if you want to. My part in this was actually pretty innocent.

I would implore everyone involved here ot keep an open mind and realize that *no one* has a single side to their personality and *everyone* is subject to their own perceptions. The whole thing did get blown out of proportion, but isn't because me, or David or Eve or anyone else were just like purposefully mean to Taylor. It was because a request was taken totally the wrong way, which caused a negative reaction in the person doing the request, which turned into a problem between two people, which became an issue for the whole sim. Taylor is partly responsible, Soren is partly responsible, I am partly responsible and David is partly responsible.

Just because something happened between your friend and another person, no matter who, is not a reason to wipe everyone involved with the same brush. Nor is it a reason to believe that there are any "saints" in this situation. There are none. Period. End of Discussion.

Soren was doing what he thought was the right thing. Taylor thought she was being attacked (which she was not, from my pov anyway). It is over now and hopefully will remain so. As I have said previously, let us not let this ruin a good set of sims which are pretty cool and doing a good job keeping it that way.

If you weren't there, if you heard about this second hand, I will repeat what one other person has said, "think twice, speak once."

In truth, there are people who believe Taylor, people who believe Soren, and people who are irritated by this thread existing who don't want to see it continue. So: people who believe Soren, nod with your beliefs and step away. People who believe Taylor, do the same. Those who don't like this thread... don't egg them (us) on.

I owned more land along the side which allowed me more prims.


I also wasnt "hidding " nearby . I was talking to a newbie.
