If you don't drink, don't answer. This wasn't a solicitation for parental admonitions.  It's amazing that some non-drinkers cannot understand that responsible, social drinking is ok. Perhaps the thing that compells them to answer with things like *I don't drink* so * I don't care* is an indicator of realized poor self control? Family experiences with with alcoholics? I dunno, but thanks for shitting on a test that doesn't pertain to you. It's amazing that if it doesn't apply to you, people still choose to answer, some with scolding. *Shrug*. Everyone has a little Prokofy in them I guess. I am not proud. Maybe when I was 17 I was. You know, shots of tequila to impress your friends, etc. Most of these questions were definately not geared for high school or college keg party drinkers. I bartend off and on, attend a party now and then, and *gasp* enjoy a beer or a cocktail, and I was stumped by some of them... I guess that makes me *proud*. Wow, that hit a few funny bones or something didn't it? I did not mean to imply that anyone posting here was irresponsible, or whatever. Even though it sounded like that..oops. Maybe "proud" was the wrong word. I don't know what the right word is. All I know is that I think our culture glorifies too many things that shouldn't be glorified. Don't you? Believe me, I'm far from a religious nut or whatever other label I've been assigned for this opinion. But I think it's a damn good opinion, primarily directed at the way youth/entertainment glorifies or fixates on the wrong things. I've actually had a few drinks on occassion. I'm not *against* it, I just don't usually care to bother with it. Which is why I'd probably score a zero.  Obviously I have no problem with it if it's done responsibly and doesn't effect others negatively.Who I *AM* lecturing is the young people in colleges, or the young people in high schools, who do get out of control, or those who promote such activities as "cool" and provide encouragement. When I hear terms like, "see if you can hold your own" I think of the brainless parties held at colleges, or wherever, that get people into trouble/injured/killed and this is what "set off" my rant. Anyway, sorry, I wasn't trying to turn this into a moral discussion. My comments on the topic don't belong here. It just popped into mind as I was moving along so I fired away before considering the context. Continue your discussion, I'm headed out to the local tavern. Just kidding. _____________________
