I just bought the two pieces of your island for $85,000 and $75,000 respectively. I read all the drama sagas. I believe you bought it at auction for around $330 was it? I just don't know. It's an island, but about 23,000 sq acres. So I paid, what, about $660 for it?

SL is a great game, everybody! I got an island for $660 woot!

The great thing about SL, you can risk real-life dollars on real estate even like $330 for a virtual island, and you know that you can pretty much expect to get out intact without losing your shirt, and you might even find someone who will pay DOUBLE what you pay, so it's a great, great real-estate market. You just can't lose.

For all the work you put into the land, terraforming, making it a legend, making it the famous site of the Catherine Cotton Christmas Factory -- it's worth it!

I'm not going to chop it up. I will keep it "just as is". Maybe put some trees back on. Maybe put the train back on? Because I kinda had fun riding that.

I'll keep it in case you change your mind, and you can get it back for just the same price you set it to sale for (*crosses fingers that GOM doesn't go down further*).

It's simply mind boggling to me that people will highjack a POSITIVE thread to convey their negative feelings about someone.

ahkin, i'll clarify it for you. we hate each other. well that's not fair. we don't hate each other. we don't even know each other. we just enjoy kicking each other to death. it's what we do. it's not all we do, just most of it.

now you may say to yourself "is this a sick, warped thing to do?" "do these people need loads of therapy?"

well yeah it is and yeah we do. but taking it out on each other seems to help. people don't exist here, accounts are just faceless keyboards with no feelings to hurt. we like it here just like it is so don't you come preaching about how silly and self destructive it all is because i'll just type so loud that i can't hear you.

(that's your cue to attack me mercilessly. remember to include a lot of verbose explanation of how much you like me and you're just trying to debate the point. oh and include a few of those smiley things. i don't really understand those; but people use them all the time so it must be part of the game.)

Well, I can't put her stuff back because it flew back into her inventory, she isn't online, she hasn't answered posts or IMs, and the ppl in her land group don't seem to know anything, they came by and their stuff flew back too and they have no idea what her plans are.

And anyway, living across the channel as I have, I had quite a lot of Christmas. I mean, it was cool and everything, but there was even a soundtrack. And it had Burl Ives and the Carpenters.

So...

I started out by putting on Radio Dervish out of Teheran. I thought that might rinse out some of the Christmas for now. And I was thinking, pretty soon, it will be the Zorastrian winter festival on Dec. 26 when they celebrate the Prophet's death in a Temple of Fire? So I'm thinking along the lines of that sort of event maybe....

If Catherine comes back I would definitely consider just selling her the island back but I think she's probably "done" and chilling for awhile? Anyway, I am not going to chop it up into little pieces, it's a damn fine island, with a telehub nearby, and no lag.

We're working on a low-impact landmark mall right now.

If you've got US$ to burn, I'd love to sell you 1.5 sims worth of land for US$25000! Then I could get out of debt and enjoy my time in SL! I could sure use a Christmas Present too!

I actually find that he shed a tear over some of this crap admirable.

Where does the blame lie? On most of us. What begets it? Callous indifference. I am guilty of it. Cat is too. Many of us are.

When a member of our community is very upset we have a choice. Comfort, indifference, or ridicule.

i'm just rambling. i tend to do that sometimes. like the other day when...ha ha ha

yes i was. my deeply buried point was that, even though i know all the hateful posting we do is in good fun, it does sometimes get to me. especially when the whole lot of us single out a person and kick their head in flat as a pancake. of course it's always their own fault so it's okay. but it's still sad you know for a little while.

Oh but come on Khamon, they DESERVED it.
