Aww man. I dunno. I guess I am just touchy about it because my GF and I are 6 states apart and although we have been together for going on a year in SL and about 4 weeks all told in RL we need other outlets to keep us sane and together.

It isn't sex; it's all done with polygons and gizmo's. As masturbation it's fairly low-rent, even compared to Anime.

RE: Cures loneliness. No, it's a coping mechanism, not a cure. And a self-destructive one at that, as every moment spent in virtual sex is a moment not spent fulfilling the basic human need for social intercourse.

RE: Friendly to foreigners. Not really, if you take time zone differences into account. Could lead to chronic sleep deprivation. And what's the upside of being friendly to foreigners anyway?? Don't encourage 'em, says i.

RE: Good for society. A real plus, this. it's an outstanding form of contraception for people who shouldn't be allowed to procreate, because they're damn well not ready for the responsibility.
