We can't stop. The universe is constantly in motion, and as Albert Einstein pointed out, all motion is relative.
Even when llGetVel() returns ZERO_VECTOR, we are in a Second Life universe that is hurltling through the void of space at speeds unimaginable within our tiny speck of a world. Besides...
