I don't know whether backstory of the new continent (Magellan's blog, existing builds) is just superfical fun or the tip of something deeper, but either way I found it entertaining.
I love to explore new things, and something as extensive and well crafted as these new sims was a real treat. Also, I found it interesting that the temple had so many lights that could be switched on and off. I'm wondering if this is just mouse candy or if the proper on/off configuration of lights triggers something special? ~Olympia _____________________

I hope that Magellan and crew continue to scout out the other areas of this world that are currently hidden from view. What new sights will they find? Just how vast is this world? What possibilities will they set in motion with their spark of exploration? _____________________

There were no psychadelics, although I have synaesthesia. Torley, I would be extremely interested to hear more about this from you. I've just done a little reading about it, and was surprised that there's a name for what I experience. I'd really like to hear more about your personal experiences sometime if you're not busy. ![]() _____________________

It's the story... of a pair of Lindens...
...who were booting up some very lovely sims... ...all of them had textured grass, and open water... ...and one had double prims..... Siggy. _____________________

Moth Temple is in Iris.
Siggy, I'm sure you're right (thus Ian and Andrew's efforts towards the new land should also be noted), but it's fun to fantacise and be kids at heart, exploring a new unexplored territory, even if it is just something someone else created, the fantacy is still there to enjoy. |

Catching up very belatedly and laughing like hell ROFL. Now that the thing is rolled out, where can we find this Magellan story? I only see on thing on the front page. Where's the rest of it? _____________________

Arghhhh...I don't know how much longer I can plougy through this cutesie copy.
Has anybody noticed that Magellan Linden looks exactly like Marcos Fonzarelli, who is also featured on the website in his explorer goggles? I read about the temple. Well, could anybody who has followed this breathlessly just tell me in two words, what did they say about the airplane crash? Was that them, is that how they arrived? _____________________

Torley, I would be extremely interested to hear more about this from you. I've just done a little reading about it, and was surprised that there's a name for what I experience. I'd really like to hear more about your personal experiences sometime if you're not busy. ![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia I had that when I was younger. I've always associated numbers to colors (yellow=1, blue=2, red=5, green=3, purple=7 etc...) and shapes to tastes (losange=apple taste, oval=acid, etc...). If you check the property lines in the new sims, Lindens have apparently prepared to leave wide roads that are yet to be paved to connect everything. It means these will eventually be heavily built, as the current tendency shows... No wildlife refuge ![]() _____________________

I'd like to know about the experience of tasting something that you smelled, or smelling something that you tasted. It is as if they are the same thing connected but experienced through different senses with two different things, it is very strange. What is that called? Just referring to the cross-conversation about senses that has emerged.

Just referring to the cross-conversation about senses that has emerged. They are intertwined senses (olfactory). Particulate matter interacts with specialized tissues. It's why kids plug their nose when made to eat something they don't like the taste of. http://www.nidcd.nih.gov/health/smelltaste/smell.asp _____________________

It's quite simple, actually. Linden Lab invaded and liberated this new continent so it could be democratic and free. The fact there's a huge prim pipeline there now is just a coincidence.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia I had that when I was younger. I've always associated numbers to colors (yellow=1, blue=2, red=5, green=3, purple=7 etc...) and shapes to tastes (losange=apple taste, oval=acid, etc...). Awesome! :D I, personally, have always gotten tastes and smells from colors, and have always seen visual time. Music and sound give me ALL sorts of things! Color, taste, smell, movement.. I also have genders for letters, and genders, colors and textures for months, although I've never seen colors for letters and numbers.. That seems to be the most popular one, but I just don't have it. ^^ I'd love to talk more about this with you in-world sometime! :D The whole concept that I am not alone in this continues to blow my mind.. Please feel free to IM me anytime! ^^ And that goes for anyone else who'd like to talk about it, too! _____________________
