I Don't Think that I am Smart Enough

I thought Plato was that squishy clay-like stuff kids play with, Good for flattening and transposing colored comic strips as I recall.

The fora are very different than SL itself. Outside of the help fora far to many seem preoccupied with ego-stroking (I say that euphemistically) and/or engaging in strange popularity contests masquerading as other things. So, I've rather come to the decision that it's best just to play word games and wait for someone to pass the calamari. And help people when I can with graphics issues and the like.

The forums have very little to do with SL unless you are posting technical questions. SL itself is a place for fun, exploration, creation, games, and meeting people.

The forums are dominated by self-centered know-it-alls that laugh and point at people with smaller vocabularies and slower typing speeds who have to rely on single case letters and abbreviations that cut words like "your" and "you're" down to two letter words like "ur" just to post before the sun sets.

Haha... You slow typists suck.

So yeah... ignore the forums. I did for almost a year.

I'm a self-centered know it all. I should fit in great. I just get intimidated around people I perceive to be smarter than me. I guess then I just complimented you all. You all are just a bunch of academics. Yeah, that's what it is.

I used to feel that way too in SL. There was this club called "Club Galactic" that was right next to my property in Jernberg. My place is kind of big, but their place dwarfed mine and I felt so inferior with my less-than gargantuan giant waste of space.

But now they moved and i feel better.

The lesson here is:

Don't improve on your own weaknesses; just remember that all things are impermanent and the people who intimidate you will eventually move away or get a terminal illness.
