Vox Populi Vox Dei! I Randall Dayton have sinned without the intention of sin. It has come to my attention that I have, in publishing the Book of the 1st Church of Secondlife, included language deemed to be unacceptable, and hateful in this world. It was never my intention at anytime to demean, promote dissention, divide or in any way promote or condone the racism, violence or any hate towards any being. Some of the language although not widely used in front of cameras but generally acceptable and possibly heard daily in the boardrooms of many a corporation as an expression of both great success and great failure was used to convey deep strength of feeling wherever it appeared. As the great orator, mentor and spiritual leader George Carlin pointed out in the legendary "Sermon of the Seven Words" < http://personal.centric.net/reapy/CARLIN.HTM> some things may just never change, yet taken in context are quite effective. I ask for your forgiveness and understanding. O by the way, the first time I read it my head hurt as well. Please join us in the 1st Church of Secondlife Our group is currently seeking land as well as builders of many wonders to help in spreading the Word of the Way and the teachings of the Wheel. If you can create something beautiful we would love to hear from you. Reverend Randall Dayton 1st Church of Secondlife randalldayton@yahoo.com

Unfortuantely you have washed over a rather important part of the world that is Second Life. Indeed, we are supposed to be loving, compassionate, beings, but are we this way because we are told to be or because it makes us feel good. Meanwhile the entire premise of Second Life rewards those that are more compassionate and friendly. We have all seen the new faces that have high ratings due to their friendly and social behavior. So the question is this, if we are compassionate does it matter if we do it to be an ethical person, if we do it to be a better person, or if we do it to be a richer person? Or is the only important part that we are compassionate, despite the reason? If this is true then people can wear the mask of compassion to gain higher monitary rewards and is this not ethical? In fact, the most true and "ethical" person in Second Life may be the person who's social score is the lowest, and yet Second Life does not reward them. In the end it is those that can kiss up and brown nose that will be the most rewarded and those that spend a great deal of time cultivating long lasting and loving relationships are punished for their behavior. In conclusion there is no room for long lasting love and true compassion in Second Life. The world and people pass by too quickly and the rewards are too small.
P.S. ... corn bread is not my idea of the finer things in life. I'll take a New York Strip any day. ~Eve~ "All hail Jeff, the one and true Linden"
