I think it'd be more accurate to say that people are dumb. Americans aren't any dumber than anyone else, we just tend to be a bit isolationist at heart, so we don't generally pay much attention to what's going on outside our borders unless we have to. Must have something to do with being surrounded on 2 sides by gigantic oceans, and surrounded by stable and relatively prosperous countries on the other 2 sides.

As a Non-American, I don't actually think you're any more dumb than anyone else. Except that since there are more of you than the rest of us, the law of averages suggests there'll be more dumb folk over there.

Of course, in the UK, we tend to ignore dumb folk on the whole, with one or two exceptions... Over there, you sort of let them have their own way a bit more... you know, electing them to office, letting them make or star in movies...

Anyway, this was a stupid thread, so I see no reason to be sensible in it either.
