I've only been inWorld for about an hour today - but I can feel people's fear.

Please, what is it you fear about our cherished Second Life? Or about what LL is doing to our cherished Second Life?

Stephen King could write a story about this... he's the master of the macabre, after all. :)

I have my fears -- I have my fears that one day I'll wake up and Second Life will no longer be here . . .

Gimme a break Merwan... This happens everytime, a huge social uproar when LL decides to implement changes.

fyi... sl will be fine. It always has been.

I like my SL with a little change, it ALWAYS does it good!

Ahhh.. King.. I was reading him at seven years of age. I'm not embarrased to admit he is one of my favorite authors. Even during his lull periods. hehe

Torley.. SL *will* be gone one day. Set your fears to ease by knowing that just because SL is gone, many of US will still be here. And will always be in your life. Take that as a promise or threat, however you may. hehe *HUGS* :D

I have gotten a handle on my fear, and I have changed my views from doom to lets see what happens.

Now I am going to bed.

Awww Pen, that's so sweet *hugz*

Some say that by having children, we continue our immortality in some way.

I, too, then, look forward to the "children of SL".

My biggest beef with this is that people are getting so worked up about money in SL.

I've always thought that SL should be about, oh, I dunno, creating, and expressing oneself? :\

I certainly appreciate creating and expressing oneself... fortunately or unfortunately or a mix of both (most likely this), creation and commerce are Thaimese twins. It's the innovative ideas that are sparklights for mass money, not to mention a plethora of lawsuits and controversy. There is a parallel to that in SL, although accelerated... and there are certainly creative, expressive people in SL who earn a sizable amount of money from their art. Or, if they're not, DO deserve it I feel, because really, pats on the back only go so far. ^_^

It's such a volatile blender.

Yes, I have no problem with creators getting paid for creating. I have a problem with leeches that do nothing, and expect to get paid for it.

Yes, give the leeches a little to spend on products.

A LITTLE.

I was too busy working on the Trampoline Integrated Transport System proof of concept to be afraid...

So now I'm just gonna take this as a life lesson:

Whenever I feel down, afraid, or bored, I'll just play with my T.I.T.S.

Siggy.

What some are endorsing is far from a little change. It will be the demise of Secondlife.
