I agree Corwin although I found the what the meaning of "is" is statement insulting, especially coming from a Rhodes scholar. I was disappointed. But will I say he was a bad leader because of that? Absolutely not. I think he had what it took and then some. During his tenure we enjoyed a prosperity that hadn't been seen in a LONG time.

I think it would be great if he became the secretary general. It could possibly mitigate some of the resentment the international community holds towards the US. Beyond that, I think he is very capable of handling the job.

I wonder what non Americans would think about him in that position?

Oh I'm not going to even try to say Clinton was a saint.... but he was good at the job, and I can deal with his failings since they really aren't any of my business anyway.

Bush on the other hand.... is lousy at the job and his failings ARE my business, since unlike Clinton's they impact my life.
