Just curious. It seems like the date for go-live is official according to the email. How many of you are planning to stay with SL? Will it depend on what kind of discount we get?
For me, that's what it depends on. I'd really hate to stop using it, but even at a discount, it can be pretty pricey when you convert it into Canadian funds. At least for someone with student loans. It's a shame we only have two weeks to make up our minds as well.
Thoughts?

This game has RUINED me for all others. I get the occasional mental twinge that says "must play EQ!!!" but then I remind that part of my brain why I left in the first place and it's gone. So yeah. I'm staying. ^.~ _____________________

Well, I was considering playing Planetside... but since I can't afford three subscriptions... I'm going to stay with SL. Unfortunately, I can't afford to pay for a year in advance, so I'll get nothing out of this beta deal. :/

Being a bit of a newbie I am not sure what I will do.. One reason is I havent had that much play time. The servers need to be brought up 22/7 now so us new people can make up our minds. At present and with the sever only being up after 2pm (my time) I would have to say no. Now I know in the mail they said it would be up 22/7 but lets do that now.

not sure if i will be able to stay or not guess it depends on there anual or life time membership fee..... but i agree 14 a mounth is a bit high when even my family members can't play a char on the same account if they wanted to but to end up getting two accounts that is a bit to expensiveand add's up... when it goes live will the log in be up 24 hours a day?

I'm definitely staying, but it'll be hell trying to scrounge up enough money for the lifetime fee...
 For someone like me, the monthly, or even the annual fee wouldn't be worth it, since I'll probably end up staying till they turn the servers off. |

How many hours a week do you get out of this game? You can blow $15 at the movies and that's what 2 hours? If you play it more than 2 hours a week you have the value of a movie right there... This is cheap and quality entertainment ppl. |

You are so right, i rethought my earlier post of maybe $20/month(canadian) was too much, but i know for a fact i waste that much/week on nothing. For the person in AU, unless the AU $ has taken an extroadenary drop recently that I don't know about $15 US is about $25 - $30 AU. Not $50.
For me it will depend on a few factors. The deal, whether I can get a job....In any case I should be in for at least a couple of months. Will see. |
