This is about the SL Movie Trailer Contest.

More info, including download links to movies if you can't stream, is here:

The old vote machine broke—more than once, actually!

So... there's a NEW VOTE MACHINE graciously provided by Max Case, who spent time in deep electronic meditation while customizing his VoteMaster 5000, previously used in the Extraordinary Avatar Expo.

I am set up as owner of the voting machine. As such, I will not be voting... plus there's so much amazing creativity done by Residents I know on all of the teams! :o

UPDATE: Voting machine now belongs to Lindens.

Lindens have been contacted about all of this.
Hamlet Linden is currently on vacation and personally gave his goahead provided certain parameters were met. So here's how it goes, as I understand it... anything I'm missing, people in the know please say so!
  1. 2 ballots per Residents. Allocate both to your snuggly fave—if you have one—or cast for a pair!
  2. Simply stand in front of the voting machine, read the choices, click once on the appropriate colored box for each vote. Easy.
  3. The ballot is now hidden. It'll show total voters and total votes, but not the specific results of each nominee.
  4. All voting results, scripts, and data will be turned over for inspection by Lindens following this contest. Similar to how it was done for EAE. (Source: /18/cd/52008/2.html)

This is a FRESH START. :)

If you voted before, please do so anew at:

and if you never voted before, please come and join the fun! :D

Awesome, Torley!

Just a question, though, do we know if the vote deadline is being extended past Wednesday or if that is still the conclusion?

I know Jeska had posted that it might be extended - might being the key word.

Yes, Max Case has generously provided a special version of the voting machine used in NWN's Extraordinary Avatar Expo, the scripting to which Ben Linden personally validated. So come to Supernova and rock the vote!

And yes, the time for voting will almost surely be extended-- checking with the Linden Trailer Staff on that, and will probably have a resolution on it come Monday.

Much thanks to Torley for helping on this while I suffer poolside in Palm Springs.
