Somethings odd... with the Lindens.

Okay, is it just me, or are many Lindens acting weird lately?

I have my own evidence, but I wanted to wait until I hear from other people, so I don't taint the thread with my own observations.

Well, Philip HAS been dressing up like a nun, and trying to smack my fingers with a ruler. So...no, nothing odd in their behavior.

i think the Lindens are a myth. the only one i ever see is Jeska.

Okay, for starters, Robin and Jeska must have made a new year's resolution to take less crap in the forum.

Haney is Hermes, obviously.

It could just be that there's more crap in the forums to clean up.

The only thing I have really noticed is that Philip has been mingling in world a lot lately. I saw him in a club at what would have been about 8 AM his time, sitting at a table while BigJohn Jade danced next to him, and that was kind of weird.

Yeah, that's the kinda thing I'm talking about.

there are several disjointed factors i believe are a peek here and there into the whole picture that waits to greet us all.

if this were a governmental body, then i would say get out your gas-masks and hit the shelters..

..i believe we're seeing the calm before the proverbial storm, except this time it's a good storm.

a storm of change.


basically, don't kid yourselves in to thinking that us SLers are up and running.. far from it. we're still being born fellow SLers.

I like those "lull before the storm" analogies a lot.

Almost as much as the "these are all pages in a book being written" and "this train travels different tracks" ones.

Lindens are always odd, but usually nice too...
They fit in well with SL, lol...

Oh, don't get me wrong. This post is not to imply they've been acting not nice... quite the opposite.

Maybe there's a full moon or something.

Maybe I'm blown away with how, despite the low-key nature of releases, Philip would come out and describe the architecture of the database and be so open about the challenges we face.

Maybe it's really sinking in just how rare it is to find customer service people so ... reasonable to deal with and who aren't looking to end a conversation as soon as possible.

Maybe it's seeing how programs like the Live Helper program have freed up Lindens from having to deal with every single cry for help from newbies.

I dunno, there's more, yeah, and certainly I can't list everything.

Maybe it is just me. *shrug* I think I need to get more sleep.

All Lindens are the same person. SL is run by a long bearded man in a small room, deep inside of the Oregon backcountry. When the generators start to run out of gas, attachments drop don't rez. He's currently clearing brush to make way for new server farms and the expansion of the Canadian sims.

Everything looks in order to me.
