I kinda wish landmarks were like URLs so they get redirected we could just point them to the new place and everyone would know where to go.

Though, I guess, trying to stay in one spot would become less desirable and mess up the game dynamics a bit.

How many Lindens does it take to replace a lig..errrr...move an island?

(Three: one to update the database, one to reboot/restore the asset server, and one to announce in the forums that SL is down for 'unexpected maintenance'.)

Ohhh my bad....bad Newfie, bad bad Newfie!

Le Cadre is not a mall. Always talking about things that you know nothing about... *sigh*

So what do you call a place that has over 30 merchants, according to your sig?

Why does everything that happens in your second life need to be posted on the forums? We don't care that the landmarks to Le Cadre no longer work because your precious little island got moved & anyone who does hopefully has enough brain cells to figure it out anyways. Does anyone really even use landmarks anymore?

I think Sens was right in posting that her sim was moved.

Scenario:

You've been there a couple of times and have a landmark for it, you also know approximately where it is on the map.

You click your landmark to go there, no luck, so you look on the map and it isn't there either. As far as you know it no longer exists.

Sens kept her original post short and to the point, sure it may have been better placed in the classifieds forum, but it was hardly posted in the spirit of kicking up some drama.

Who is We? You and your alts? Le Cadre has 200+ visitors a day, just because YOU do not care, doesn't mean no one else does. Le Cadre was in the middle of the estate islands and has been moved to the outside... I thought it would be nice to let people know it was moved, and just not set to invisible. Since my "precious island" is open to the public, and alot of people enjoy being there, I am sure they appreciated knowing what happen.
Do people use landmarks? *sighs*

We is… like 95% of the people who actually browse the forums… Island sims get moved around, it happens a lot. I’m not sure exactly why but whatever. I can't recall seeing any island owner announcing it like you have.

I never use landmarks anymore I haven’t since 1.1 to be honest I just delete em. I can find the sim by the pull down on the map or by looking at a persons profile & their pics. I don’t think anyone has found this thread truly enlightening.

Why are you so envious of me? I really don't get it... every time I post on these forums, you log on to your alt and start talking shit. You really should seek help for that...

I don't understand why people behave in such jealousy rage... it is sad.

I agree. Personally, if I come across a thread of no interest to me then I move on to the next. I'm not going to waste my time and post how I feel it is lame.

This has to be personal...I wonder who the alt is??

Come on Nikki, you are being pretty harsh. Le Cadre is a popular destination in SL, and this forum is for talking about changes. Other people have made announcments about moving things, opening things, hell just about whatever they wanted. Her post is perfectly valid and does not deserve the criticism it is getting. I know a lot of people who use landmarks - I make them all the time, and I have been for a long time.

No idea, nor do I care... if they must hide behind an alt, there is a reason for it... I mean if you were jealous of everyone and acted like a bitter child... wouldn't you be ashamed?

I for one use landmarks all the time. I have them organized and sorted in folders so if I am looking for clothing or a club or whatever i can find it quickly. I find them quite helpful.

I also appreciate being informed of the move of this island, since I do visit there more than a few times a week at least. I would have been quite confused if my landmark all of a sudden stopped working. Yes, I'm sure I would have done a search or used the map and found the island anyway. However, I think it was an appropriate post and want to thank Sensual for her great products and this information about the move.

You don’t know me & it’s not personal. You say I’m jealous of “everyone” do tell who would that be? If I’m a bitter child you’re a whiney baby with a fresh load in it’s diaper. I’m not ashamed of jack.

I think your obnoxious & just beg for attention… any attention good, bad, boring, it doesn’t matter. My eyes roll back into my head 99% of the time I read your posts. Yet, I’m drawn to them like rubber necking at an accident.

I’ve lost this round apparently… Sorry Sens I hope every time an island moves the owner posts that information here & thank you thank you thank you so much for posting it darling. Please keep informing everyone on everything that happens to you.

Btw I hope you got a lot of dwell last weekend for that wild goose chase to find an object that gave you the “creeps” yet didn’t even exist.

Ironic isn't it though?

Sensual dear...no offense...but I have to call you on this.

Don't you think that during the same week you drew attention to Arch's post about a "business" needing to be in another area of this forum with a thread of your own, that you should have adhered to your own guidelines as to what's appropriate in NISL?

Wouldn't it be appropriate for you to have posted this in that area as well? Just noting a double standard as i did see that people were so quick to point out that becuase he has a "business" it wasn't to be in this section of the forums.

I do...he wasn't promoting either and the defense used by all was that these tpyes of posts should be there. You might have been better off putting it in a no reply thread anyways after seeing how this thread has digressed.

God, you're breathing again, Sensual! Would you please stop? Each time I see a post from you I nearly collapse with an uncotrollable desire to attack you for something. Just shut the hell up.. don't move, don't.. even.. breathe! Then maybe I won't find you such an irresistable target for my envy and anger!

Letting someone know that an entire island has been moved, beyond my control... is hardly advertising.
Everyone's landmarks and for those that have them in the picks section of thier profile are no longer workable.
