Censorship really isn't needed by LL. They should merely make certain forums "happy" places, and the rest can be like the wild, wild west. Societies tend to censor themselves. If someone runs up and down your street yelling obscenities, or harrasing women, or minorities, sooner or later a few people are probably going to let that person know, in easy to understand terms, that abusive behavior is not really acceptable. From what I've seen, if a person really makes an ass of himself on the forums, by being mean, arrogant or prejudice, there are plenty of willing folks to jump in and verbally kick his/her ass. The hatred spewing posters seldom last long, due to community reactions and retributuons. The attacking poster can say that they "don't care what others think about them" but we all know that isn't true 99% of the time. Humans are social animals for the most part, and outcasts, though they may not admit it, seldom like being cast out. LL..let us watch ourselves, police ourselves and choose to read what we want, or to not read what we don't want. These forums are voluntairy. No one is forcing anyone to come here and read them. Let freedom of speech reign, and I honestly believe you will still have truly good people posting, and truly mean people being exclused from this small chunk of society by thier own actions, and suffering the written retribution that thier actions bring about. That being said, this website and these forums are owned and run by LL, and they can do with them what they will..
