Do You Go To SL Clubs?

HAHAHA ok really. I did level the club, and am working on a new project, but i mean seriously folks. It is obvious there are tons of club supporters, just look at dwell records all the way back to beginning of last year. Not all clubs should be lumped together. the generalizations of clubs and clubbers is not fair and those who are creative and unique will continue to flourish because obvously there are a lot of people who enjoy them. No poll on this topic is even necessary since there is a much better standard for measuring if people went to clubs, just look at dwell and the developer's incentives.

It always seemed to me most of the places one sees busy in SL is clubs.. so I assume people go there.

I go to a few places like Gravity, which I enjoy and a great build it is ... to the Hurricane Radio Club, which is a station I love and support, as well as to one or two other places I can think of.

I love Gravity...not just because I work as DJ there. Gravity has an awsome design and hardly any other club in SL has ever shown such creativity on both events, looks and atmosphere.
Jimmy Thomson did a hell of a job on the building.
The DJ team of Gravity is very dedicated and unique...and good friends. Keep up the good work.

I´m sorry to hear that Jay "leveled the Level". It was the club I used to go to in my early days in SL. It has always been very entertaining there and the music was inspiring.

Big mega-clubs and small specialist venues are very different animals. The large, generic clubs are not to everyones taste - but there are specialist venues out there that would appeal to almost everyone in the forum I imagine.

I ran a "club event" today - and I played mainly blues as it fitted the theme. SL has live jazz. SL has professional trance and drum and bass DJs. SL probably has lots of small music venues that I haven't discovered yet.

Blake, did it REALLY take a poll to establish this? Jesus.

I go to a club, The Brimstone Bar, cos it's on my sim , we generally hang in there, throw in a few events, have fun, etc.. I used to go clubbing alot when I was a noob, as its a good way to get to meet ppl, and have a laugh *sigh I must be getting old now I'm a midbie*

Because someone said, the majority didn't go to Clubs, so; I did a Poll.
If you go to a Club once a week, then you go to Clubs.
That's like saying, I have a friend that goes to a Club; but, because he is a friend and that's the only reason I go to Clubs, then; I don't go to Clubs. The question can't get any simpler. There are no other variables. If you step your foot in a Club once a week, that is called "Going to a Club", therefore you go to Clubs. I don't think I need a Poll to ask the Majority if you go into a Club, do you go to Clubs. OMG! LOL!

I love the Level, and I love Danc & Jason. I had plenty of goodtimes there. But what hurts more is that you took it down in front of me

Yes I have been to A club in the 8 months i've been in sl.
But if it's black in white. I've then visited every sim. And sense clubs make up 2% of land mess. They must only be 2% of 100% of important.
I've also teleported to the welcome area 1,000 times, but that doesn't mean I like the welcome area. and that's 999 time more then i've visited a club. So the welcome area must be 999 times more important.
I bet 75% of sl has visited a mall at least ones. And sense malls make up a larger percentage of sl land. So mall must be more important. And mall owners should get more lindons from LL then clubs.
I've also flew over the transvestite club a few times, on my way to a mall . So technically i've visited that club. And technically i've been there 5 times more then i've been to a regular dance club. So I guess the transvestite clubs are 5 times more important then regular clubs.

I hope no one takes this the wrong way, because I like the welcome area. I don't dress in women clothing. And I think clubs are an important asset to sl. Heck I even make a dance bracelet, witch I give out for free, and is open source. But I also think malls, designers, teachers, scripters, are also important. It be nice to see ll put some lindons into some untaped areas to encourage development. ^.^

The Poll question wasn't "Have you ever been to an SL Club?" The question is "Do you go to SL Clubs." Meaning do you frequent them.

lol sorry, when I started reading the thread, that wasn't the question. And sense you've been telling people if they've existed a club ones that is a yes. You've technical qualified the question to be if some one has ever visited a club.

There is nothing complexed about the question, nor will I continue to debate something so ignorant. Either you go to Clubs or you don't.

Not being rude here Blakey boy but, you may not want to debate it but at the same time you cannot dictate how people interprete your question.

Honestly, if that's all you wanted to prove with this poll, why are you bothering? OF course people go to clubs. That's why there are 5 BILLION of the damn things.

However, your vague intent is like asking me "Hey, do you go to bars?"

If you'd asked me that when I was 16, I could have said yes. But I really don't consider "taking my drunk dad home" as "going to bars".
